Abarth is a world-renowned Italian racing car manufacturer headquartered in Turin, Italy. It was founded in 1949 by two automobile designers – Austrian-Italian Carlo Abarth and Italian Armando Scagliarini. In July 1971, Fiat successfully acquired the company and Abarth eventually became the racing department of Fiat under the supervision of Aurelio Lampredi.
