Shape and Font of the ESPN Logo

The earliest logo of ESPN was launched in 1979 and consisted of a round-rectangle that contained the company’s name inside it.

The current version of the ESPN logo was introduced in 1985 and instantly became one of the most instantly recognizable stylized logotypes in the history of graphic design. An alternate logo of the network was also used which featured a swoosh around the wordmark. It appears to have dropped out of usage since 2003.

Colors of the ESPN Logo

The red color in the ESPN logo represents the passion and love of the sports and entertainment and the business responsibility of the channel, whereas the white color stands for its integrity, purity and reliability.
