Shape and Font of the Nissan Logo
The Nissan logo is among the most popular and instantly recognizable car logos in the world. It has undergone a few changes modifications throughout the years.
When the company took control of DAT Motors, it introduced a slightly modified form of the corporate identity of Datsun. The original Nissan logo comprised of two basic geometric shapes – a rectangle in blue color which is placed over a red circle. The company’s name, “Nissan”, was inscribed over the rectangle in a rounded, hand-drawn typeface.
The current version Nissan logo was introduced in 2001. It consists of a modernist rework of the old emblem in a chrome-colored finish.
