DESIGN ELEMENTS, HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF FIAT LOGO
Shape and Colors of the Fiat Logo
The old logo of Fiat contained the company’s name, F-I-A-T, on a blue background with each letter separated by a silver line. These silver lines, which created the space in the logo, are said to be suggested by the firm’s head designer after he made a visit to the factory and closely noticed the giant backdrop featuring the FIAT corporate identity.
The new chrome shield-like Fiat logo was introduced in 2006 on Fiat Bravo. It depicts the notion of the “ongoing change”, featuring the company’s name in white color on a red background with a vertically elongated typeface.
