Shape and Colors of the BT Logo

The current version of the BT logo, often termed as “Connected World”, was unveiled in 2003. It was designed by the famous London-based brand consultancy firm Wolff Olins originally for the company’s Concert joint venture with AT&T. It comprises of a globe which is made up of six circles of different colors (blue, green, yellow, red, pink and purple).

The previous logo of BT, depicting a red and blue piper, became publicly known in 1991. It was, however, often described as being too arrogant and self-indulgent. The earliest logo of British Telecom was introduced in 1980 and consisted of a “T” symbol enclosed in a circle. It used only one color, i.e. blue.
