London 2012 Logo
The 2012 Summer Olympics, more commonly as London 2012, was a major international sports event that took place in London, England from 27 July to 12 August 2012. A record number of nations, i.e. 204, participated in the event, totaling a number of approximately 10,820 athletes who performed in 302 events in 26 different sports.

Shape of the London 2012 Logo
The London 2012 logo was designed by the world-renowned brand consulting firm Wolff Olins. It was unveiled on 4 June 2007 and received much criticism from the media and fans. It consisted of the highly stylized numbers “20″ and “12″, one above the other, with the Olympic Rings shown in the figure “0″ of 2012.
The event’s logo proved much controversial, as it was alleged that the emblem looked like the cartoon character Lisa Simpson performing oral sex. Iran also labeled it as “racist” and claimed that the logo appeared to spell out the word “Zion”.
