Beats Electronics, LLC (often shortened as Beats) is a world-renowned manufacturer of audio equipment, headphones and other accessories. Founded by hip-hop icon Dr. Dre and record executive Jimmy Iovine in 2006, the company has its global headquarters in Santa Monica, California.

According to an estimate, Beats had an annual revenue of 350 million in 2011.

Shape and Colors of the Beats Logo

The famous “circle b” logo of Beats, often labeled as a prime example of a “cool” design by several publications, comprises of a big red circle on a black background which contains the character “b” inside it. Located on the upper end in lowercase lettering, it is slightly placed towards the left side.

The red color in the Beats logo represents passion, energy, intimacy and excitement, whereas the black color depicts power and prestige.
