Hooters new logo redesign old history

The famous American restaurant chain, Hooters, has redesigned its iconic owl logo in favor of a cleaner, modernized look created by the Atlanta-based design studio Sky Design. The chain’s old corporate logo had been in service for almost three decades.

According to some media outlets, the Wendy’s new logo which was unveiled earlier this year, contains a subliminal message and the word “Mom” is embedded in the girl’s collar. The logo depicts the 8-year old daughter of Dave Thomas, the founder of the international fast food chain.

Denny Lynch, the company’s senior vice president of communications, states that this “secret” message was totally unintentional: “We are aware of this and find it interesting that it appears our Wendy cameo has ‘mom’ on her ruffled collar. We can assure you it was unintentional.”

Lynch further said that an independent design studio was hired to create the new Wendy’s logo. It’s interesting here to note that the previous logo of the company had been in service for almost three decades.

Hitler Fried Chicken is a virtually known fried chicken company based in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand and its logo impersonates KFC’s iconic visual identity by depicting Adolf Hitler in a bow tie on a field of red. According to The Daily Mail, local customers think that their “chicken was pretty good” and, even worse, the eatery’s proprietors believe that Hitler is a “good image” for their business.

Lokomotiv Moscow Russian Nazi Logo

Lokomotiv Moscow, a top Russian football club based in Moscow, was alleged to have featured a “Nazi logo” on advertising materials and publicity photos. According to some bloggers, it consisted of a backdrop of a steam engine used by the Nazis; actually a German “DR-Baureihe 03″ which was manufactured in 1937. Within a few hours, the locomotive was removed from the photos on the club’s website.

It’s interesting here to note that the club was established by railwaymen in 1922 and is currently sponsored by Russian Railways.
