DESIGN ELEMENTS, HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF KISS LOGO
Shape and Colors of the Kiss Logo
The Kiss logo is one of the most popular and influential rock band logos ever created. It was conceptualized by Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley drew its original version which is still used to this day. The runic “SS” in the design appeared very similar the Nazi SS symbol, so the band came up with an alternate version in end-1978, containing two backwards “Zs” and featuring an orange palette, so as to avoid controversy and offensiveness.
