Aerosmith, often termed as “The Bad Boys from Boston” and “America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band”, is one of the most important bands in rock history. Formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970, the band has sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Some of their best-selling albums include Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Permanent Vacation, Pump and Get a Grip.

The Aerosmith “classic winged” logo is undoubtedly one of the most iconic logos in rock history. It was designed by the band’s Raymond Tabano who, although, played for a very short period of time for the band. A founding member of the band, he was replaced by Brad Whitford in 1971.

Shape and Font of the Aerosmith Logo

The Aerosmith logo is known for its “winged-A” design and comprises of the band’s name “Aerosmith” in stylized form. The background of the emblem consists of a stylized letter “A” which also features a star and a pair of open wings. It was first introduced on the album cover of the band’s album Get Your Wings in 1974. The logo has remained largely unchanged since then.
