The famously winged “AA” logo of American Airlines is one of the most memorable airline logos ever created. It was designed by noted Italian graphic designer Massimo Vignelli in 1967. Almost three decades after its creation – in 1997 – the company was able to acquire the “AA.com” domain and brand the website with the company’s emblem.
