Liverpool announced the signing of Brazilian international goalkeeper Alexander Doni from AS Roma in July 2011.
He became the second Brazilian stopper to sign for the Reds following in the footsteps of Diego Cavalieri.
Born in Sao Paulo, the 'keeper also holds an Italian passport.
He started his career in his native Brazil with Corinthians before spells with Santos and Cruzeiro.
The veteran joined Roma in 2005 from Brazilian side Juventude but was understudy to Julio Sergio prior to his arrival at Anfield, making 16 league appearances for Roma during 2010-11.
Doni also has 10 caps for Brazil - the first was won against Turkey in Dortmund on June 5, 2007.
He played a major role in helping his country win the 2007 Copa America, saving two penalties in the semi-final against Uruguay before Brazil went on to beat Argentina in the final.
Doni has a wealth of experience having made more than 150 appearances in Serie A and provides quality back-up for Pepe Reina.
His Reds debut came against Aston Villa on April 7, 2012 due to Reina being suspended - and he was set to feature in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton until being sent off himself at Ewood Park.
