About the Library

The Collegedale Public Library opened August 15, 2011 as a supported service of the City of Collegedale and is in the process of updating, expanding and improving library services. Anyone who was previously registered at the Ooltewah/Collegedale Branch may still use their Chattanooga Public Library card at the Main Library or any of the three branches. Everyone who wishes to check out materials at the Collegedale Public Library must re-register for a new library card. It is not necessary, however, to have a library card in order to use materials in the library or to attend programs. A new Board of Directors for the library is in the process of being formed and a Friends of the Library group will also be established.
