I think this album is great!!!!!! It's got a lot of good colaborations(Jay-Z, Sean Paul etc.). I'ts got so many heavy trax on it like 'thats how we like it' and 'Baby boy' which are my favourite. It's lyrically beautiful and shows exactly what beyonce can do on her own.

BUT it should be great! sorry but there are some songs that i just think WHY?! `yes` wots with that? the main part of the song is ok but is there a need for endless wailing of Yessss towards the end?? Dangerously in love is amazing... only beaten by her live performance of it on VH1 Divas. the track wiv luther is classic, it gives everything you want from a love song and more, both voices compliment eachother brilliantly. BUT wot is goin on wiv the track with Big Boi from Outkast... there voices completely clash and sound crap 2gether. i like the range of vocals and styles used by B, shes finding her feet as an artist and still developing her sound..... madonna in the making!! all 3 tracks wiv Jay-Z r hot but 4 some reason i really think work it out ruins the album?? sounds mis-placed. Don't think Crazy is the best song on the album but its the best choice for 1st single. love track 6, me myself and i and the signs track is rare! very unique. overall a brilliant album which would never have reached everybodys expectations but certainly didnt fail to deliever!

No doubt her voice is amazing but I was dying to hear more upbeat tracks on this album. I grew up listening to Luther Vandross and I adored their duet together. I felt alot of the slow songs were just too slow for my taste but I love "Crazy..." and "Yes". Overall she's a class act.

I was quite disappointed in this album. It was a longtime in the making & I expected a strong & solid album from Beyonce. In all I like about 6 tracks, but none are incredible. I think she is trying a little too hard to be grown and make mature music. When in reality if she wasn't overdoing it, the material would have come off alot more mature. There are too many ballads & many times on this album she has tried & failed to make versatile music & to do something different from everyone else. Her song writing is good, not spectacular, however that takes time. The production on this album to me is sloppy. Beyonce is not to blame there. As she doesn't make the beats, she hums as she put it. Her voice remains as strong as ever and tracks such as Work It Out & Dangerously In Love show the potential she has as a solo artist. The album however doesn't.

I think that there should be more uptempo songs on it, that's what I look for in albums. I really expected there to be a few more livelier ones but its still 1 great album! I love it, and its been on my stereo since I bought it. I agree that she has got a great body and just shows us girls that anorexic isn't beautiful. On the other hand, I really liked Kelly's album but they are quite different (which is good) so I can't compare. I like both their sounds just as much. Love the track with Sean Paul, got his album too, great choice to have him on it, think he sounds wicked. Best bit of all this, my Dad and Grandad (yes GRANDAD) fancy B!

The brilliance I expected from Beyoncé. Nothing more than stunning, her talent shows true on this album, Long time I anticipated this album, along with Kelly, and Michelles. And I think Beyoncé comes out on top. Crazy in Love being the most obvious choice for a first single. She can only get stronger with time. Dangerously In Love has to be released as a single, would be good to hear different remixes of that. Hip Hop Star the voices are complimentary of each other, as with Luther Vandross on The Closer I get To You. Good for you Beyoncé. Keep us entertained, I look forward to the second album, and even more so for you getting back with the girls from DC3, and blowing us away with what you have.

Right sorry to disappoint people but i thought this album was hugely disappointing only in my opinion three or four good tracks the others very sub-standard. No real excellent tracks, the track with Missy alirte aswell but not as good as Monica's So Gone(hope it gets released). I do hope baby boy with sean paul gets released though. I don't think the other two girls from Destiny's Child will be worrying. I know this album will do well and may compete with Justin Trousersnakes album for best seller but for me it's too bland and way too hyped, especially as Beyonce is so talented and i think the marketing has been the key and good video's. I hope her next album is more up-beat and too be honest better then this bland attempt. Besides that I hope Beyonce has good luck for the future and no doubt she will. For an album to compete with this listen to Monica's After The Storm you might be plesantly surprised.

I love B but I'll be honest, the singles are upbeat, urban and catchy club tunes but dont truely reflect the style or nature of the album. Apart from the released singles, the tracks are all slow soulful RNB ballads which is both disappointing and inconsistent with her image.

First let me say...Beyonce' is EXTREMELY talented vocally! I'm very impressed with the vocals on a couple of the songs. HOWEVER, the album is overrated...cause she's Beyonce. Kelly's album is more diverse. I really like Kelly's album...it's a strong 8. She deals with many different issues...social and love...and I can respect that. There is more to life than love. Kelly's album is GOOD, whereas Beyonce's to me was just mediocre...with the exception of a couple of a songs. But, still all-in-all...that GIRL IS BAD! Props to all 3 girls on their solo efforts. And I'd love to see more of Kelly and Michelle in commercials. Yes B is beautiful damn...but Kelly is no slouch...can we give credit where credit is due? Show a beautiful BROWN sistah some love too! Beyonce's album is excellently put together. Though there are more ballads for my liking, the ones selected are excellent. Speechless, yes, and dangerously in love are breathtaking. Her voice is so angelic, powerful and unmatched in music today. Crazy in love and baby boi are obvious club bangers and the rest of the album reflects her maturation as a solo artist and future icon.

Beyonces' album is so beautiful! I love all the songs, especially 'The Closer I get to You', it's so sweet and soulful. I also like track 15. I don't know why it isn't labelled on the cover. I thought it was nice that she had sung something about her dad. All she needed was another song to thank her mum too. Beyonce- you're a real inspiration to me babe! My singing career is starting to take off now,so I hope I travel in your footsteps! xxx

I didn't expect this from Beyonce. She wrote a lot of songs for Destiny's hild's 'Survivor'. Which is one of the best albums ever. Well, that was a waste of my money. I hope her second album will be much better than this piece of crap.

this album is abslutly fantasic. if u havnt bought it yet you are mad.. the only excuse for ppl not buyin it is if ur deaf. i have copies of this album everwyhere i go..even on my iPod so i can listen to it from place to place. the songs are all amazing. they start off fast and then slow down. i lvoe everything. if you in an upbeat mood you can play any of the first few tracks or skip to the back if ur feelin more relaxed. i saw her in november and she sang stunninly. i cant wait until April when i see her in NY on the Ladies Tour! when this album was released in stores, i was excited n couldnt wait to buy it... but when i popped the cd into my cd player, i was quite disappointed n almost regretted buying it.. i didnt listen to it 4 a long time tho(i bought britney's n christia's album that time) when i finally was sick of listening to the same thing over n over, i reluctantly put the cd back on..but then i was surprised!! as if during the moment i didnt listen to the album,it improved its sound!!! its pretty good 4 those u wanna buy it.. the only problem is dat there are quite a number of slow tracks on dis cd which kinda rules out the dance hits on the album... i only bought this album cos i was a huge destinys child n beyonce fan.. overall i think the cd is ok,better than britney's InTheZone 4 ur info(britney's songs are dancier but no positive message in'em) its a great cd to play in ur car..i give beyonce's 'dangerously in love' a 70 out of 100

For too long Beyonce was in the spotlight of DC, now it seems as if burn out has happened. Nothing on the album compares to The Writings on the Wall which Trevor Nelson openly told her was the best album she had been on much to her dissapointed look (she didn,t produce the album). Me, Myself and I sounds so Mary J. Blige 10 years ago and after singing lead for so long it is as if she can do nothing new. I expected her album to be the best as I could imagine her father ensuring she got the best writters and producers etc yet I found it so so disjointed and unprofessional. Yes she is talented, yes she is beautiful but she is not even half as taleneted as Michael Jackson and not even he did everything in J5. Consider, 3 albums from DC which she sings lead on every song and now an album that tells me she is overated and overexposed. Kelly's album to my great suprise was one of the best I had ever heard especially for a debut album, the production was v. good but more the harmonies and lyrics stood out, it was real. Michelle had excellent production but I am unconvinced by her as a singer, I do not find her vocal ability as anything but extremely poor, with an irritating tone. The way I view it, DC need original members Le Toya and La Tavia back. But as that will not happen I guess we're stuck with a band that although talented, doesn't seem to be very genuine. What I mean is that Beyonce has always maintained that everyone in the group was treated fairly and it's not her fault she sings lead. Well as said above if you sing lead on every song for 3 albums (Kelly didn't sing lead on Bootylicious, Beyonce's voice was heard the most, see the video) including all the soprano and low alto parts which were Le Toya and La Tavia's specialties how can you then say that was fair? Then to kick them out and bring in an alto (Michelle) to replace Le Toya, a soprano and a girl who they said couldn't sing after she left (Farrah) to replace La Tavia wouldn't the vocal quality of the group be significantly altered? And badly altered at that? I suppose their vocal abilities would only be irrelevant if they had no intention to let them sing lead in the first place, TA DA! The penny drops! That's why up until know Michelle has never been given anything but a bridge to sing. Overall Kelly is the one I have higher future hopes for, she has the strongest, most powerful and diverse voice of the group but in the past has always been too fixated upon Beyonce's talent to observe her own. I suppose the fact that Le Toya could rap was a threat to Beyonce as although she co-wrote 11 of the songs on The Writing's on the Wall Le Toya was not far behind with 9. Saying that though, Jumpin' Jumpin' was an excellent co-productive effort by Beyonce, but as for her being a humble girl, noooooooooo way, she clearly states on this album to someone important in her career, "Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to write on 11 tracks and co-produce on 5" did she need to say this, stating the number of her contributions? No, but it is a sneaky underhand way of telling the world of her importance in the group and that she shouldn't be undermined or underestimated, saying this however, not all of her efforts on this album were good solid pieces of work. She has done about every single rift possible and seems to have reached her limit, her voice is neither powerful or strong (listen to Happy Face, Survivor album) but is rather nice sounding and has a pleasant tone. One thing I must compliment DC on, however is their style, this is a crown that nearly anyone would have trouble taking as Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mum has an excellent sense of fashion, they always dress different from the norm, yet this is not always a good thing. I must say however that Tina's style was always suited more to Beyonce, Le Toya and Farrah than the other 3. One last thing, I would greatly appreciate though, is if DC and especially Beyonce would stop calling down the name "Christian" to justify all of their works, everything is "God this" and "God that" but what is up with your life girls

To see people (like her) call themselves singers and countless other R-n-B/soul acts is a JOKE. To go as far as calling them self’s songwriters and then to hear the songs…ouch that makes my ears hurt. There are no words to describe how awful and stupid the many other R-n-B/soul acts sound, look and act – the words illiterate, tasteless and vomit inducing seems to describe the shit we hear nowadays from the R-n-B/soul acts. To ask another R-n-B/soul singer to sing on cue without any equipment to help them is a JOKE, not one has a voice one would enjoy be it’s self. This includes many other wannabe “R-n-B/soul” singers who are so white that watching them if better then watching comedy. Rap/hip-hop is another bad story altogether, which make me laugh each time I hear the Rap/hip-hop acts open their mouths.

I don't know what to say about the album. Her voice is ok but I besides the songs she came out with as singles the only other song I like is "The Closer I Get To U". I have no ideal how this cd was as big as it was. I bought Monica's "After The Storm" and it was a lot better than this cd. Hopefully she will stay with DC because all their cds be great.

I have never heard her c.d. but I already know that it sucks.Every song I've heard by her on the radio sucks.I agree with the person who pointed out the fact that R&B has turned to s**t; and she is just further proof of that. Its sad that so much emphasis is placed on what she looks like physically; she's a musician-not a model, so what does it matter what she looks like? I guess her "music" sounds good to 12 yr. olds and older people that have never been exposed to actual talent or just don't know talent when they hear it because they've been so conditioned to think that crappy music is good. Its pretty sad that she dances around like a stupid slut in her videos just to make a buck. And another thing: I have lived around many urban areas throughout my life and have never met a black girl with the name Beyonce that pronunciated it like 'fiance'. It was always pronounced with a hard C (bee-yon-ka). Its so obvious that she changed her names pronunciation to make her seem more classy, different or whatever.
