1- What made you ever decide to get into professional wrestling?
Well as with the majority of wrestlers I have always been a huge fan since
childhood and decided I was going to be a professional footballer or wrestler.
Since wrestling allowed me to be centre stage and more aspects attracted
me to it I decided to persue it.
2 - What was your training regime like? who trained you? how did you
find them?
I found the FWA academy on the internet after searching all the schools
I could including hammerlock training academy and it was the one that
most appealed to me. I was sixteen so parents were quite concerned but
after a few email exchanges with Mark Sloan they were cool with it and
I was off to School.I trained with them on various training camps until
BCW opened in Scotland and I began to keep my stuff sharp there until
its doors closed. At the academy the main trainers were Justin Richards,
James Tighe and Mark Sloan with various members of the roster coming in
to take a session or two including Doug Williams, Alex Shane and Paul
Birchill. At BCW Colin McKay was the head trainer and Spinner McKenzie
took many sessions which was a great learning experience.
3 - What do you think of the current state of professional wrestling?
Unimpressed to be honest, rarely watch WWE now expecially smackdown and
I grew up never missing a show. There just isnt the characters that really
draw you in anymore and they all work the same coming off the same conveyer
belt (obviously few exceptions however not enough to keep me tuned in).
Regarding the indy scene there are many talented individuals with very
impressive move sets, some psychology may be questionable at times and
some may not work hard enough on their apprearance but are very entertaining
to watch.
4 - What's the best thing about being a pro wrestler? the worst?
mmm I suppose the best thing about being a pro wrestler is having the
ability to control an entire crowds emotions with your actions, you can
make them cheer, happy, sad, angry, every emotion and when you get them
its a great feeling. The worst would probably be the travelling it can
be fun at times but being 6'5 it is usually cramped and really takes it
out you.
5 - Who have been your favorite people to step in the ring with? why?
I have a few that i really enjoy working with and couldnt really name
them all here I suppose SOS and Wolfgang would be honerable mentions as
I have worked them more than anyone and have a great chemistry with them
always getting the crowd emotionally involved in every match. I also have
had some real good matches with Karl Kramer, best thing was we dont need
to talk before hand just go out and do out shit.
6 - What wrestlers do you enjoy watching?
I enjoy watching a few wrestlers, from the past Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid
Mr.Perfect and Hogan. Today I enjoy watching Shawn Michaels, RVD, Chris
Benoit and AJ Styles.
7 - What do you do when you are not wrestling?
I am supposedly at University studying criminology, I socialise a little
to much and work out.
8 - What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Probably having Mick Foley referee my match last year, working with some
guys from the past is pretty cool and you learn a great deal however I
really admired Mick Foley and it was pretty surreal and an education working
with him.
9 - If you had to do it all over again - would there be anything you
would change?
Well hoping to achieve some of my goals first before I start changing
anything
10 - Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
British Champion with the WWE knocking, haha. Honestly I hope to be making
a good little living out of wrestling and my outside projects.
