Newsletter #4, August 2005
| The fourth issue of our newsletter focuses on social benefits. With the assistance of the Austrian pension insurance institution (PVA) we have prepared a kind of guideline for filing claims for Retirement Benefits, Attendance Allowance and Surviving Dependants’ Pension. PVA has set up a telephone information service to provide all persons concerned with information, also available in English, about the requirements and the status of the claims procedures.
The Holocaust Victims´ Information and Support Center publishes reguraly a newsletter, which informs about compensation measures for nazi victims in and from Austria. If you are interested in our newsletter or you want to download the published issues please read more. |

Following efforts by the Claims Conference and World Jewish Restitution Organization, the Czech lower house of Parliament has passed a bill that abolishes the December 31, 2006 deadline for filing claims for artworks and cultural objects looted during the Shoah. Under this bill, claims may be filed indefinitely.
