Oct 30th 1865 Excellency Andrew Johnson President of the U. S. Sir History records no such a specta cle as is now exhibited in the Southern States. After a four years war, which was inaugurated for the purpose of cut ting loose from the Government established by their father the Southern people have suddenly laid down their arms and given unmistakable evidence of a determination to renew good faith their former relation.
