JIMMY LINES UP RONNIE
 
Jimmy White defeated Joe Swail 5-2 to gain the wild card entry to next month's Regal Masters, at Spencers SC in Stirling.

White who dropped only four frames in the three qualifying matches he was involved in, now faces Ronnie O'Sullivan at the Motherwell Civic Centre when competition resumes on October 24.

It was the first time world No.18 White had been forced to qualify for an event which was first held in 1989 and which he has never won.
