Atlus’ Persona 3 Reload will run at a resolution of 4K (2160p) and target a frame rate of 60 fps, and the game will also feature brand new side episodes along with voiced dialogue.

Persona Channel reports that Persona 3 Reload will support a resolution of 4K and a frame rate of 60 fps on capable hardware, and that it will also feature new side episodes along with voiced dialogue. Regarding the frame rate, it appear that the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC versions of the game will target a frame rate of 60 fps, while the Xbox One version will target 30 fps.

Persona 3 reload new side episodes

The report also confirms that Persona 3 Reload will feature brand new character side episodes, voiced dialogue and cutscenes. In addition, all the animations have been reworked for the remake. In order to support the higher rendering resolution, assets such as 2D character illustrations, 3D models, background designs, user interface have also been overhauled for Persona 3 Reload. Some Quality of Life adjustments have also been made in order to improve the game’s accessibility and make it more user-friendly.

The original Persona 3, also known as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 outside Japan, is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus in 2006. It serves as the fourth main installment in the Persona series, which is part of the broader Megami Tensei franchise. Initially launched for the PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2006 and later in North America in 2007, the game has undergone several enhanced re-releases and ports.

One of these iterations is Persona 3 FES, an extended version featuring a new playable epilogue and various other changes. It was released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2007 and globally the following year. Another version, called Persona 3 Portable, was released in 2009 for the PlayStation Portable in Japan, followed by North America in 2010 and Europe in 2011. Notably, Persona 3 Portable was later ported to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2023.
