“Live every day like it’s your last”
Hi, I’m Tiffany Cromwell, an Australian professional cyclist racing on the UCI Women’s World Tour with my Canyon//SRAM Racing team. I’m striving for success in the biggest races and helping my team mates too, whilst enjoying every moment along the journey and hoping to inspire others along the way.
My cycling career has taken me on an incredible adventure. I’ve had the opportunity to see the world, meet many amazing people and pursue my passion as my career. Like most elite athlete’s I’m striving to reach the top of my sport!
My cycling career started in 2002 after I was spotted at school and given the opportunity to try the sport through a Talent Identification program with the South Australian sports institute. Since then I have progressed each year going from strength to strength, winning at a national level in Australia, before progressing to victories on the world stage in races such as the Giro d’Italia and Belgium Spring Classic Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. I’ve represented Australia in numerous World Championships along with the 2014 Glasgow and 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. On the Gold Coast I had the amazing opportunity to captain the Australian team to a Gold Medal won by Australia’s Chloe Hosking, a beautiful memory of my career with will last with me forever.
So what else is there to know about me aside from riding a bike?
If you summarised me in 3 words, I would say I am happy, energetic and creative. My friends might use the same words but might add that I am also a little bit crazy, in a good way.
My favourite colour is pink and those of you that follow me on Instagram will know I’m a bit of a foodie. There’s nothing better than conjuring up a recipe and getting your friends over for dinner. It’s not always possible as an athlete to eat 3 course meals every night, but dreaming about salmon avocado carpaccio, followed by seared scallops on a citrus salad and rounded off by a trio of desserts including chocolat fondant and vanilla mousse is a great way to unwind after a long training ride! From time to time I will share with you my favourite dishes from the kitchen.
Fashion and design is another passion of mine. Having studied fashion after graduating high school, I love the creativity and self expression that comes from it. You can always find me flicking through the latest Vogue, and when I’m not in lycra, I love to put together different outfits to wear and find unique pieces to add to my wardrobe from my travels. Coco Chanel is someone who has always inspired me, her iconic looks and the way she changed not only fashion but also how the world saw women. Over the last few years as a hobby I’ve been combining my two passions, fashion and cycling through my freelance work on cycling kit designs. I’ve created many designs for various people and collaborated with brands to release a couple of Tiffany Jane limited edition cycling kits. The fashion world or creative industry is something I could see myself a part of when I finish my cycling career.
Travel is another huge part of my life and something I love to do, both with my bike and without. I always take the opportunity if I have time to explore the place that I am in, search for the hidden gems and immerse myself in the local culture. Whilst searching for the best coffee shops and places to brunch and eat around the world. I love to capture the moments from my adventures, always look out for the images and stories on my Instagram, and I will share some of my favourite travel stories on here over time.
So, thanks for reading. Please explore and enjoy my website and if you see something in fashion I might get inspired by, a new healthy recipe you think might help me in training, or a destination that I must visit then please send me a message. I read all of my messages from my fans and supporters! Oh, and dont forget – make sure today is fantastic.
