Sign in using a passkey

Passkeys allow you to securely sign in to the Stripe Dashboard with a biometric scan or using a hardware security key without ever needing to type a password. Below are the steps to sign into the Stripe Dashboard with a passkey. Before proceeding, make sure you've registered a passkey on the Stripe account.

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard sign in page.
  2. Click Sign in with passkey.
  3. You will be taken through your browser specific flow for logging in with a passkey. For example, below is the next step shown after clicking Sign in with passkey in Chrome 124 on macOS 14.4.1. Click on the email associated with the Stripe account you want to sign into.Chrome interface for authenticating with a passkey
  4. If your passkey was created using biometrics (e.g. Touch ID or Face ID), you will be prompted to scan the same biometric. If your passkey was created using a hardware security key with a PIN, you will be required to tap the security key and enter the PIN.

Once the above is complete, you will be logged into your Stripe account.

Additional Information

We support passkeys only on modern browsers.
