View or clear your reading history in News on Mac
When you read a story in Apple News, it’s added to your reading history so you can easily find it again. You can view or clear your reading history at any time.
Note: Apple News isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
View your history
Go to the News app
on your Mac.Click History in the sidebar. (If the sidebar isn’t shown, click
in the toolbar.)On the right, scroll the list of stories you’ve read.
To open a story, click its title. To take another action—for example, to share the story, remove the story, or follow the channel that published it—click
for the story.The list includes stories you saved
and stories for which you asked News to suggest more stories like it 
or fewer stories like it 
.
Clear your history
Go to the News app
on your Mac.Choose News > Clear History, then choose one of the following:
Clear History: Clears your reading history.
Clear Recommendations: Clears the information that’s used from your reading habits to recommend stories. Choosing this option can change the types of channels, topics, and stories shown in the Today and other feeds in Apple News on your Mac and your other devices.
Clear All: Clears your history and recommendations, and any downloaded magazine issues.
When you clear your history, the identifier used by Apple News to report statistics to news publishers is reset.
Reset your data
You can reset the identifier used by Apple News to report statistics to news publishers at any time.
Go to the News app
on your Mac.Choose News > Clear History > Reset Identifier.
To learn more about the identifier, choose Help > See how your data is managed, then click on Apple News.
