Add user profiles to the Apple TV app
You can add user profiles to the Apple TV app so that each member of your household has a personalized experience in the Apple TV app and can make their own purchases. Each user must have an Apple Account. After you add user profiles, it’s easy to switch between them.
Add user profiles to the Apple TV app
Go to the Apple TV app
on your smart TV, streaming device, or gaming console.Open the sidebar, then do either of the following:
Select the user profile at the top of the sidebar, then select Add New User.
Select Settings, select Accounts, then select Add New Account.
Follow the onscreen instructions to do either of the following:
Sign in using an internet-enabled mobile device that supports QR scanning: Use your camera to scan the QR code that appears onscreen, then follow the instructions on your device to sign in to the new user’s Apple Account.
Sign in manually: Select “Sign in manually,” then follow the onscreen instructions to sign in to the new user’s Apple Account.
After you set up multiple user profiles, you can quickly switch between them.
