Can I sync my shortcuts between devices?
Your shortcuts are automatically synced between any device that’s signed into iCloud. For more information, see Sync shortcuts.
Does Shortcuts support my favorite app or service?
A list of supported actions that use apps and services is not available on the web. However, you can quickly search for apps or services inside of the app.
To search, open a shortcut in the app, tap , then enter the app or service name in the search field. Actions that use the app or service you searched for appear in the action list.
If you can’t locate actions that use the app or service using the search field, try adding the Open In action or Open App action to your shortcut, then look for the app or service in the Choose menu.
How do I build a shortcut that does X?
The Shortcuts app Gallery is a great place to discover shortcuts with a wide variety of capabilities. Search through the Gallery to see what’s possible and how particular shortcuts are built.

Can Shortcuts change my system settings?
Shortcuts can modify your iOS device’s screen brightness and volume, as well as Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, and Low Power Mode settings.
Shortcuts cannot change Personal Hotspot, VPN, or Location Services settings.
Can I send text messages or emails without tapping the Send button?
Due to security restrictions in iOS, you must tap the Send button to send an email or a text message. To override this restriction for text messages, turn off Show When Run in the Send Message action.
