Add import questions to your shortcut before sharing
If your shortcut includes steps that contain personal information, such as addresses, contacts, phone numbers, or the name of a playlist, you can add import questions to those specific fields of the shortcut. If an import question is present for a field, your personal information is not shared—that field is cleared when the shortcut is shared. When the recipient runs the shortcut, he or she is presented with the import questions. When the questions are answered, the shortcut is populated with the user’s own information.
For example, the Home ETA shortcut (available in the Gallery) includes an import question that asks, “What is your home street address?”
Set up import questions
In My Shortcuts , tap on a shortcut to open the shortcut editor, then tap .
At the bottom of the Details screen, tap Import Questions.
Tap Add New Question.
Choose an available parameter.
Enter your question in the Question Text field.
You can add as many import questions as needed, and each question is asked in order when the shortcut is run.
Optional: Enter an answer in the Default Answer field.
Tap Done, tap Questions, tap Details, then tap Done again.
Tip: Once you’ve added import questions, you can test them: Repeat step 1 above, tap Customize Shortcut, then run through each import question, ensuring that each makes sense and works as intended. Keep in mind that answers you provide overwrite the previous configuration.
