Learn the meaning of the iPod touch status icons

The icons in the status bar at the top of the screen provide information about iPod touch.

		Wi-Fi iPod touch is connected to the Internet over a Wi-Fi network. See Connect iPod touch to a Wi-Fi network.
		Network activity Shows that there’s network activity. Some third-party apps may also use this icon to indicate an active process.
		Syncing iPod touch is syncing with iTunes. See Sync iPod touch using iTunes on your computer.
		Airplane mode Airplane mode is on. Nonwireless features are available, but wireless functions may be disabled. See Choose iPod touch settings for travel.
		VPN You’re connected to a network using VPN. See Use VPN on iPod touch.
		Lock iPod touch is locked. See Access features from the iPod touch Lock screen.
		Do Not Disturb Do Not Disturb is turned on. See Set Do Not Disturb on iPod touch.
		Portrait orientation lock The iPod touch screen is locked in portrait orientation. See Change or lock the screen orientation on iPod touch.
		Location Services An item is using Location Services. See Set which apps know your location on iPod touch.
		Alarm An alarm is set. See Set an alarm or bedtime schedule on iPod touch.
		Headphones connected iPod touch is paired with Bluetooth headphones that are turned on and within Bluetooth range. See Connect Bluetooth devices to iPod touch.
		Bluetooth battery Shows the battery level of a supported paired Bluetooth device.
		Battery Shows the iPod touch battery level or charging status. See Charge and monitor the iPod touch battery.
