What’s new in Music on Mac?
The Music app in macOS Ventura includes several new features: selecting an artist as a favorite and easy access to sort and filter your music library.
Introducing Favorites—get notifications about new releases from your favorite artists, and easily find their music in a new Listen Now area in the main Music window. See Select favorite artists.
Quickly play songs in a specific order. See Sort songs.
Filter the music in your library to show only the songs you want to see. See Search for music.
Other recently added features for Apple Music let you do the following:
Have a music party with your friends right in your FaceTime calls with SharePlay. You can listen to songs together and build a Playing Next queue, and everyone can pause, rearrange, or skip tracks. See Listen to music together using SharePlay.
Play music on your Mac from an iPhone, iPad, or even another computer with AirPlay to Mac. See Choose which speakers to use.
Prevent access to items in Apple Music with Screen Time and Family Sharing. See Restrict access to items.
