Remove a device from Find My on Mac
You can use the Find My app on your Mac to remove a device from your Devices list or remove Activation Lock on a device you already sold or gave away. When you remove Activation Lock, someone else can activate the device and connect it to their Apple Account.

Remove a device from the Devices list
If you’re not planning on using a device, you can remove it from your Devices list.
Turn off the device, or put AirPods in their case. (You can only remove the device if it’s offline.)
Go to the Find My app
on your Mac.Click Devices, then select the device you want to remove.
Click
on the map, then click Remove This Device.The device is removed after 30 days.
Note: The device reappears in your Devices list the next time it comes online if it still has Activation Lock (for an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Apple Watch), or is paired with your iPhone or iPad (for AirPods or Beats headphones).
After you remove a device, it may need to be reset, erased or restored before it can be used by another Apple Account.
Remove Activation Lock on the Mac you’re using
Before you sell, give away or trade in a device, you should remove Activation Lock so the device is no longer associated with your Apple Account.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
If you see “Sign in with your Apple Account”, you’re already signed out, so Activation Lock has been removed.
Do one of the following:
Turn off Find My: Click iCloud, click See All, click Find My Mac, then click Turn Off next to Find My Mac.
Turn off all iCloud features: Scroll down to Sign Out, then click it. See If you sign out of your Apple Account settings.

Remove Activation Lock on a device you no longer have
If you sold or gave away your device and you forgot to turn off Find My, you can still remove Activation Lock.
Tip: You can also remove Activation Lock online in Find Devices on iCloud.com.
Go to the Find My app
on your Mac.Click Devices, then select the device you want to remove.
Click
on the map, click Erase This Device, then follow the onscreen instructions.If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time the device connects to a Wi-Fi or mobile network.
When the device has been erased, click
on the map again, then click Remove This Device.All your content is erased, Activation Lock is removed and someone else can now activate the device.
Note: Finding devices isn’t available in all countries or regions.
