Home automation triggers in Shortcuts on iPhone or iPad
Use a home automation trigger to run an automation in your home based on events such as time of day, people arriving or leaving, or someone turning on an accessory.
The People Arrive trigger has the following options:
When: Select one of the following triggers:
Anyone Arrives: Triggers your automation when you or someone who shares control of your home arrives at the location set in the Location field (described below). To choose specific people, tap and choose the people who share control of your home. To run the automation when only you arrive, deselect all other people who share control of your home.
The First Person Arrives: Triggers your automation when you or someone who shares control of your home arrives at home. To choose specific people, tap The First Person Arrives and choose the people who share control of your home. To run the automation when you are the first to arrive, deselect all other people who share control of your home.
Location: The location that triggers this automation when you or someone else arrives. Tap Location, then choose from a list of recent locations or use the search field.
Note: Choosing a location other than Home will remove the other people and not allow you to convert an automation to a shortcut.
Time: There are four options: “Any time,” “During the day,” “At night,” or “Specific times” (which you set in the Start and End fields).
The People Leave trigger has the same options as the People Arrive trigger, described above.

When: Choose from the following options:
Sunrise: Triggers your automation at sunrise, as determined by the Weather app.
