Change Playback settings in Apple Music on Windows
In the Apple Music app on your Windows device, use Playback settings to choose how to fade songs in and out, change music sound quality during playback, and more.
To change these settings, select at the top of the sidebar, choose Settings, then select Playback.
Note: Apple Music and lossless aren’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.

Streaming | Choose the option (High Quality, Lossless, or High Resolution Lossless) that works best with your computer, headphones, or connected speakers when streaming songs. This option is only available if you’re signed in as a subscriber to Apple Music. | ||||||||||
Download | Choose the option (High Quality, Lossless, or High Resolution Lossless) that works best with your computer, headphones, or connected speakers when playing downloaded songs. This option is only available if you’re signed in as a subscriber to Apple Music. | ||||||||||

Video playback quality | Choose the option (Good, Better, or Best) that works best with your computer or connected video output when streaming video. | ||||||||||
