Organize places with custom guides in Maps on Mac

A guide called Favorites always appears in your guides. This makes it easier for you to save places to a guide.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click below Library in the sidebar, click Guides, then click Favorites.

2. Click in the toolbar, then choose Create New Guide.

3. Click below Library in the sidebar, click Guides, then click New Guide.

4. Click Add a Place, then select a recent place or search for one to add to your guide.

5. Click Edit in the bottom left, then do any of the following:

   • Rename the guide: Select the name “New Guide,” then type a new name.

   • Add a cover image: Click , then choose an image from your photo library.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click a location on a map.

3. In the place card, click , choose Add to a Guide, then choose one of your guides.

   You can also click in the toolbar, choose Add New Place To, choose a guide, then search for a location to add.

While browsing a published guide, you can add a location to a guide you created. Click next to the location, then choose a guide.

1. Go to the Maps app on your Mac.

2. Click below Library in the sidebar, click Guides, then click a guide.

3. Click Edit in the bottom left, then do any of the following:

   • Rename the guide: Select the current name, then enter a new one.

   • Change the guide cover photo: Click , choose a photo, click Move and Scale to crop or enlarge it, then click Use.

   • Remove places from the guide: Select the places you want to remove, then click Delete.

2. Click below Library in the sidebar, then click Guides.

3. Click Edit in the bottom left, click , then click Delete.
