Collaborate on Numbers spreadsheets and keep them up to date with iCloud
With iCloud, your Numbers spreadsheets stay up to date on all your devices and you can collaborate on spreadsheets with friends, family, and colleagues.
Access the same spreadsheets on all your devices
When you set up iCloud for Numbers, your Numbers spreadsheets are stored in the cloud, which frees up space on your device. You can see them on any device that’s set up for iCloud and Numbers, including your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You can also access your spreadsheets in a web browser at iCloud.com.
Because your spreadsheets are in the cloud, changes you make on one device—like adding a chart, deleting a tab, or updating data—automatically appear on all your devices. You see the most up-to-date version of your spreadsheets, no matter where you access them.
Note: All Numbers spreadsheets you create count toward your iCloud storage.
Restore deleted spreadsheets
If you delete a spreadsheet stored in iCloud, it’s moved to a Recently Deleted folder on your iPhone, iPad, and iCloud.com, and to the Trash on your Mac.
Recently deleted spreadsheets can be recovered for 30 days. If you permanently delete a spreadsheet from the Recently Deleted folder or empty the Trash on your Mac, you can’t recover it.
Share and collaborate on spreadsheets
You can share spreadsheets with friends, family, and colleagues who use iCloud. They can add the shared spreadsheet to iCloud Drive and view it in the Numbers app. You decide if the people you share with can edit the spreadsheet or just view it. You can also allow them to add other people. When collaborators make edits to a spreadsheet, everyone sees those changes in real time.
You can also share a spreadsheet publicly so anyone can access it, even if they don’t use iCloud. You decide if anyone who has the link can edit the spreadsheet, or just view it.
