Streaming Options

Choose the option that works best with your computer and internet service provider.

• High Quality (Up to 4K): Streams the highest quality video, including HDR video when it’s available.

• Data Saver: Streams the best quality available at the lowest file size.

Download Options

Choose the option that works best with your computer’s storage space and internet connection.

• High Quality (Up to 1080p): Downloads the highest-quality video for movies or TV shows you purchase or rent. Higher-quality files use more storage space.

• Fast Downloads: Downloads the smallest possible file size for movies or TV shows you purchase or rent. Choose this option if you have a slow internet connection or limited storage space.

• Most Compatible HD (1080p): Choose this option if you want to transfer downloaded 1080p high-definition videos from your Mac to an iPod or iOS device.

• Most Compatible SD (480p): Choose this option if you want to transfer downloaded 480p standard-definition videos from your Mac to an iPod or iOS device.

Download Audio Languages

Choose to download additional audio languages for movies or TV shows you purchase or rent. See Set audio languages for downloaded movies or TV shows in the Apple TV app on Mac.

Download Multichannel Audio

Select to download multichannel audio when it’s available.

Use Viewing History

Select this checkbox so that the movies and TV shows you watch:

• Are available in Continue Watching across your devices

• Influence the recommendations you get in Watch Now
