Turn off Spotlight Suggestions on Mac
When you turn off Spotlight Suggestions, Spotlight searches only the contents of your Mac; it no longer searches the web. You can also turn off Location Services for Spotlight.
Turn off Spotlight Suggestions
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Spotlight, then click Search Results.
Deselect the “Allow Spotlight Suggestions in Look up” checkbox.
In the list, deselect the Spotlight Suggestions checkbox.
Now Spotlight searches only the contents of your Mac. Look up searches only the dictionaries enabled on your Mac.
Turn off Location Services for Spotlight Suggestions
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy.
Click the lock icon to unlock the pane, then enter an administrator name and password.
Click Location Services in the sidebar, click Details next to System Services, then deselect the Location-Based Suggestions checkbox.
