Merge Apple School Manager accounts
You can merge accounts from Apple School Manager to Profile Manager. This combines information from Apple School Manager with your existing directory accounts, such as the passcode complexity or Managed Apple ID account.
When you merge accounts, you’re adding information to the Profile Manager database about accounts in Apple School Manager. The Person Number of the user in Apple School Manager is matched with a directory service’s specific attribute’s value. If those values are different, users with the same name appear twice in Profile Manager. If the values are the same, the name of the user in Apple School Manager overrides the name of the user shown in Profile Manager.
The Profile Manager database keeps a temporary copy of each account and performs a one-way sync every 24 hours and when you click Done after editing an account.
Note: A Person Number is added to each user account when importing users from a CSV file or joining Apple School Manager with your Student Information System (SIS). A user’s Person Number doesn’t appear in Apple School Manager and can’t be edited.
