Hand off tasks between iPod touch and your Mac
Continue working on one device where you left off on another. You can use Handoff with many Apple apps—for example, Mail, Safari, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Maps, Messages, Reminders, Calendar, and Contacts—and even some third-party apps. To use Handoff, you must be signed in with the same Apple ID on all your devices. Your devices must have Bluetooth turned on in Settings 
and be within Bluetooth range of one another (about 33 feet or 10 meters).
Switch devices
From Mac to iPod touch: Open the App Switcher on iPod touch. The icon of the app you’re using appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap the icon to continue working in the app.
From iPod touch to Mac: The icon of the app you’re using appears on your Mac at the left end of the Dock (or the top, depending on the Dock position). Click the icon to continue working in the app.
Disable Handoff on your devices
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch: Go to Settings
, then tap General > AirPlay & Handoff.Mac: Choose Apple Menu > System Preferences > General, then turn off “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.”
