Share your location in Find My on Mac
In the Find My app on your Mac, share your location with friends, family members and other contacts.
Important: The device associated with your location has to be an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Apple Watch that’s signed in with the same Apple Account. If you only have a Mac, you can’t share your location.
Turn on Share My Location
Go to the Find My app on your Mac.
Click People, select Me, then click on the map.
If you don’t see anything on the map, make sure Location Services and Find My Mac are turned on.
Turn on Share My Location (if it’s not already on).
Tip: Below My Location, you can see your current location and the device you’re sharing your location from.
Share your location with a contact
Go to the Find My app on your Mac.
Click People, then click Share My Location at the bottom.
Do one of the following:
Type a name, an email address or a phone number in the To field, then click a contact in the list.
Click to the right of the To field to see all your contacts. Click a contact in the list, then click their email address or phone number.
Click Send, then choose how long you want to share your location.
After you share your location, you can also ask to see your contact’s location.
Share your location with your Family Sharing group

Allow location sharing requests
Go to the Find My app on your Mac.
Click People, select Me, then click on the map.
Turn on Allow Friend Requests.
Respond to a location sharing request
When someone asks to see your location, you can accept the request in the Find My app.
Go to the Find My app on your Mac.
Click People.
Click Share below the name of the contact who sent the request and choose how long you want to share your location.
If you don’t want to share your location, click Cancel.
You can stop sharing your location at any time.
Note: Location sharing and finding people aren’t available in all countries or regions.
