Enter text on Apple TV
There are several ways to enter text on Apple TV.
Use the onscreen keyboard
When a keyboard appears onscreen on Apple TV, use the Siri Remote to do any of the following:
Enter a character using Siri Remote (2nd generation): Press left, right, up, or down on the clickpad ring, or swipe across the clickpad to highlight an onscreen character, then press the clickpad center to select the character.
Enter a character using Siri Remote (1st generation): Swipe across the touch surface, or tap the left or right side of the touch surface to highlight an onscreen character, then press the touch surface to select the character.
Change keyboards: Press the Play/Pause button , or select uppercase, lowercase, numbers, or special symbols onscreen.
Enter an alternate character (such as a letter with an accent mark): Navigate to the character, then press and hold the clickpad center or touch surface to select an option.
Use Siri
Whenever you see a text entry field, you can use your voice instead of using the onscreen keyboard.
On the Siri Remote, press and hold the Siri button and say the text you want to enter. You can even speak individual characters—for example, when entering user names and passwords.
