Modify Shazam app settings on iPhone or iPad
Use Shazam app settings to sync your identified songs to Apple Music or Spotify, change app preferences, and access support.
Go to the Shazam app on iPhone or iPad, then tap My Music at the bottom of the screen.
Tap , then adjust any of the following:
Sync Shazams to Apple Music: Creates a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music. Existing and newly identified songs are automatically added to the playlist.
Spotify Connect: Lets you open your identified songs in Spotify.
Note: To use Spotify with Shazam, the Spotify app must be installed on your Apple device and you must be a Spotify subscriber.
Sync Shazams to Spotify: Available when you connect the Shazam app to Spotify, creates a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Spotify and automatically adds newly identified songs to the playlist.
iCloud Sync: Backs up your identified songs to iCloud so you can access your songs on your other Apple devices (when your iCloud and Shazam app settings are correctly configured on those devices).
Notifications: Allows notifications from Shazam in Settings > Shazam. (You can also control notifications in iPhone or iPad Settings > Notifications.)
Location: Allows Shazam to use your location in Settings > Shazam, where you can change permissions. (You also can control location sharing in iPhone or iPad Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.)
Shazam on app start: Lets Shazam start listening as soon as you open the app.
Tip: You can control the Shazam app’s access to your device’s microphone in Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone or in Settings > Shazam > Microphone.
Haptic Feedback: Allows a tap or vibration (on supported devices) when Shazam identifies (or can’t identify) a song.
Autoplay Videos: Automatically plays a video preview (if available) in the track screen.
In the “Stay in touch” settings, you can rate the app or spread some Shazam love on social media. In the Support settings, you can access the user guide, see what version of the Shazam app you’re using, or choose a different microphone.
You can also adjust the weight, size, or darkness of text in your device’s accessibility settings to make the Shazam app easier to read on your iPhone or iPad screen.
