Choose the soundtrack for a movie in QuickTime Player on Mac
If a movie has an alternate soundtrack—such as another language or Descriptive Video Service—you can choose which soundtrack it uses. If the movie doesn’t have alternate soundtracks, you won’t see an option for them.
In the QuickTime Player app on your Mac, open a movie, then do one of the following:
Choose View > Languages > [soundtrack].
Click the Subtitles button in the playback controls to see a list of available options.
Descriptive Video Service soundtracks are listed with all of the audio soundtrack options, and typically have “DVS” appended to the name. Descriptive Video Service soundtracks describe the action and images onscreen in between the dialogue.
