See what friends are listening to in iTunes on PC
After you create an Apple Music profile, you can find and follow friends to see what they’re listening to.
Note: Apple Music isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Choose how to find friends and linked accounts
Before you can choose which friends to share music with, you need to allow iTunes to access your contacts.
In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Account > Apple Music > Find Friend Settings.
If you don’t see this option, make sure you’re signed in to Apple Music using your Apple ID.
Select any of the following:
Allow Finding by Apple ID: Select this option and friends who have your Apple ID information will see you as a recommended friend.
Contacts on Apple Music: Select this option and Apple Music will see your contacts and recommend new friends to you periodically.
Click Done.
Follow friends
After you allow iTunes to access your contacts, you can send a Follow request to any of your contacts who are already sharing music in Apple Music; optionally, you can invite your other contacts to join Apple Music.
In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Music from the pop-up menu at the top left, then click For You.
If you don’t see For You, make sure you’re signed in to Apple Music using your Apple ID.
Click the My Account button (looks like a photo or monogram) in the top-right corner of the window, then click Find More Friends at the bottom of your profile.
Click Find More Friends again, then do one of the following:
Click Follow next to one of your contacts sharing music.
A request is sent if your friend needs to approve the request; otherwise, you start following them and you can immediately see what they’re listening to.
Click Invite next to a name, then choose to either send an email or a text message invitation.
When your friend receives the invitation, they need to join Apple Music, create a profile, and allow you as a follower before you can see what they’re listening to.
Click Done.
Alternatively, you can enter a friend’s name in the search field, choose a result, then click Follow. If you can’t find someone, make sure they created a profile. If the friend’s profile is private, they have to approve your request.
