See what an image looks like on another device using Preview on Mac
You can see what an image would look like on another device, such as a printer, without changing the image or its display resolution.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open an image file.
Choose View > Soft Proof with Profile, then choose the device’s ColorSync profile.
Every image in the window is displayed using that ColorSync profile.
To make sure the image looks like it will on the other device, view the image under the same environmental viewing conditions as the second device. For example, if the second device is a monitor in a darkened room, try to reproduce the darkened room-light ambience of the other monitor.
You can also permanently assign a ColorSync profile to an image. Once assigned a profile, the image will appear in Preview as it would on another device, allowing you to view and work accurately with it. To assign a ColorSync profile to an image, choose Tools > Assign Profile.
