Set up your iMac
When you set up your new iMac, you can customize certain settings for your Mac, set up features like Touch ID, and transfer data from another computer. If you already have a Mac, iPad, or iPhone, you may also have the option to skip several steps by using your existing settings in order to set up your new Mac more quickly.
If you need additional support while setting up your Mac, you can speak with an Apple expert by chat, email, on the phone, or set up an appointment at the Genius Bar. Learn more at Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options.
Setup Assistant walks you through the settings needed to start using your Mac. When setup is complete, see When you’re done setting up your iMac for next steps.
