Adjust general settings in Control Center on Apple TV
In the general settings tab in Control Center on Apple TV, you can quickly adjust settings for power, audio, Wi-Fi, and game controllers. You can also turn on Do Not Disturb, set a sleep timer, and access accessibility settings, parental controls, and Search.
Turn Apple TV off
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select Power Off .

Change network settings
You can quickly make changes to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet settings.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select Wi-Fi (or Ethernet if you’re using a wired network).
Turn Do Not Disturb on or off
You can turn on Do Not Disturb to disable all notifications while watching Apple TV.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select Do Not Disturb .
Open audio controls
You can choose which speakers or headphones to use with Apple TV.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select Audio .
Choose the speakers or headphones you want to use.
Note: If headphones are connected to Apple TV, you’ll see a headphones icon instead of .

Set a sleep timer
You can set a timer to have Apple TV turn off after a designated period of time.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select Sleep Timer .
Select a time range.
The timer begins its countdown. To cancel the timer, select the Sleep Timer button again, then select Cancel Timer.
Open game controller settings
You can quickly connect a game controller to Apple TV and access additional settings.
Note: If you haven’t yet paired a game controller to Apple TV, see Connect Bluetooth devices to Apple TV.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select , then do either of the following:
Connect a game controller or switch to a different game controller: Select a game controller from the list.
Adjust game controller settings: Select Controller Settings, then adjust the onscreen settings to your preference.
When you’re finished, press or on your remote.
Open Accessibility shortcuts and settings
Accessibility shortcuts let you quickly turn on accessibility features without opening the Settings app. After you add an accessibility shortcut, you can activate it in Control Center.
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select , then do either of the following:
If you have one or more accessibility shortcuts enabled: Select a shortcut to turn it on or off.
If you want to access settings or add an accessibility shortcut: Select Go to Settings, then select an accessibility feature from the list to add it as a shortcut. See Add an accessibility shortcut to Apple TV.

Open parental controls
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select , then do either of the following:
Turn off restrictions: Select Turn Off, then enter your passcode.
Add or modify restrictions: Select Settings, then select Restrictions and adjust the settings.
Open the Search app
Press and hold on your remote to open Control Center.
Select , then type or dictate your query.
