Apple Music app at a glance
Use the Apple Music app on Apple TV to enjoy music in the following ways:
Access millions of songs on Apple Music (requires a subscription) and listen in Spatial Audio (where available) when Apple TV 4K is connected to AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or speakers and receivers that support Dolby Atmos. Apple TV 4K also supports Lossless Audio, which preserves every detail of the original audio (support depends on song availability, network conditions, and speaker capability). See Adjust music settings on Apple TV.
Sing along with Apple Music using real-time, beat-by-beat lyrics. See Sing along with Apple Music on Apple TV.
Sing onscreen with video effects using an iPhone or iPad as a Continuity Camera with Apple TV 4K (3rd generation). See Sing onscreen with visual effects on Apple TV 4K (3rd generation).
Get Apple Music recommendations based on your tastes (see Home: See recommended music on Apple TV), or browse the hottest new music and recommendations from music experts (see Browse: Discover Apple Music on Apple TV).
Watch thousands of ad-free music videos on Apple Music, including Apple Music TV, a free 24-hour video music livestream (see Videos: Watch music videos on Apple TV).
Listen to dozens of hand-curated, ad-free radio stations, thousands of broadcast radio stations, and Apple Music radio stations. See Radio: Listen to stations on Apple TV.
Listen to music from your music library, including music you add from Apple Music, your iTunes Store purchases, and songs synced from your computer, iPhone, or iPad if you have an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription. See Library: Browse and play your music on Apple TV.
Note: In some cases an Apple ID is required. Services and features are not available in all countries or regions, and features may vary by area. You can play Apple Music and Apple Music radio tracks on only one device at a time unless you have an Apple Music Family subscription, which lets you play music on multiple devices. If you end your Apple Music subscription, you can no longer stream Apple Music tracks or play Apple Music tracks saved for offline play.
You can also use Apple TV to stream music that’s in the Apple Music app on your Mac, iOS device, or iPadOS device (or in the iTunes library on a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier installed). See Stream content with Home Sharing on Apple TV.
