Save a favorite location in Maps on Mac
You can add locations to favorites so you can easily refer to them later.
Save a location
In the Maps app on your Mac, do one of the following:
Click the location you want to save on the map, scroll to the bottom of the place card, then click Add to Favorites.
Click the New button in the toolbar, choose Add New Place To, choose Favorites, then search for a location to add.
Get directions to a favorite location
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the location you want directions to (in the sidebar below Favorites).
If your favorites aren’t showing, click the arrow .
If your current location is showing, Maps uses it as your starting location, but you can enter a different one. You can drag the Reorder button next to a location to swap your starting and ending locations.
Rename a favorite location
If you’ve saved a pin to favorites, you can rename it.
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the Info button next to a location (in the sidebar below Favorites).
If your favorites aren’t showing, click the arrow .
Click in the Name field, delete the previous name, then type a new name.
Delete a favorite location
In the Maps app on your Mac, Control-click a location (in the sidebar below Favorites), then choose Remove from Favorites.
Make a favorite location your home, work, or school address
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the Info button next to a location (in the sidebar below Favorites).
Below Type, select My home, My work, or My school, then click Update.
