Mark items as favorites in Apple Music on Windows
You can mark items as “favorites” in Music to make them easier to find. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can get notifications on new releases from your favorite artists, and easily get back to their music from the Home screen.
Note: Apple Music isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Add items as favorites
Go to the Apple Music app on your Windows device.
Do any of the following:
Add a favorite album: Select Recently Added or Albums in the sidebar, select an album, select for the album, then choose Favorite.
Add a favorite song: Select Songs in the sidebar, select for the song, then choose Favorite.
Tip: If a song is playing, select in the playback controls at the top of the Music window to quickly mark it as a favorite.
When you mark a song as a favorite, it appears in the Favorite Songs playlist (below Playlists in the sidebar). Additionally, it’s automatically added to your library.
To add songs as favorites without adding them to your library, select at the top of the sidebar, choose Settings, select Advanced, select , then turn off Favorites below “Add songs to Library when adding to.”
Add a favorite playlist: Select a playlist in the sidebar, select for the playlist, then choose Favorite.
Add a favorite artist: Select Artists in the sidebar, select an artist, then select to the right of their name.
If you subscribe to Apple Music and you add artists as favorites, you automatically receive notifications when they release new music.
Your favorite items are easily identified by the highlighted Favorited button . You can also easily find favorite items in your music library—select any option below Library, select in the top-right corner, then choose Only Favorites.
