Browse photos by location on iPod touch

The Photos app creates collections of your photos and videos in the Places album based on where they were taken. View photos taken in a specific location, or look for photos taken nearby. See a collection of all your places on a map, or even watch a memory of a certain place.

Browse photos by location

Tap Albums, then tap the Places album.
Select Map or Grid view.
Only pictures and videos that have embedded location information (GPS data) are included.
Tip: Zoom in and drag the map to see more specific locations.

See where a photo was taken

Open a photo, then swipe up to see photo information.
Tap the map or address link to see more details.
To change the location or address where the photo was taken, tap Adjust. Enter the new location in the search field, then tap the new location under Map Locations.

Look for photos taken nearby

Tap a photo to view it in full screen.
Swipe up, then tap Show Nearby Photos.

View a location-based memory

Tap Albums, tap the Places album, then tap Grid.
Find a location with several images, then tap the location heading.
Tap .
