Sort your books and audiobooks in Books on Mac
In Books, there are several ways to sort the books and audiobooks in your library.
In the Books app
on your Mac, click Library in the toolbar.In the sidebar, click All Books, Books, Audiobooks, PDFs, Authors, Categories, or a collection (below Collections).
At the top right of the view, click Sort By, then choose an option.
Most Recent: Sort items with ones you’ve read recently at the top.
Title: Sort items alphabetically by title from A to Z.
Sort Manually: Drag items around in the view to sort them in any order you want.
If you click List
, you can sort books and audiobooks by clicking a column heading. Control-click a column heading to see other columns you can choose to display and sort by.You can choose to show or hide the title and author when you sort.
You can also show or hide items you purchased using your Apple ID (except hidden books and audiobooks). Books and audiobooks that you haven’t downloaded on your Mac appear with an iCloud status icon
