Change a book’s appearance in Books on Mac
Unlike a physical book, you can change how books appear in the Books app.
Show one or two pages in a book
In the Books app on your Mac, click Library in the toolbar, then double-click a book.
Choose View > Single Page or View > Two Pages.
You can also drag the window’s sides left or right until you see one or two pages.
Change the font and page color in a book
In the Books app on your Mac, click Library in the toolbar, then double-click a book.
Move the pointer to the top of the book, then click the Appearance button .
If the Appearance button isn’t available, you can’t change the font.
Do any of the following:
Change the font size and style: Click a button to make the font smaller or larger, and choose a font under Book Font.
Change the page color: Choose White, Sepia, Gray, or Night (if available).
Change alignment and hyphenation in a book
In the Books app on your Mac, choose Books > Preferences, then click General.
Do any of the following:
Change paragraph alignment: Select “Let lines break naturally” or “Justify text.”
Change hyphenation: Select or deselect “Auto-hyphenate words.”
